2020 ONLINE NATIONAL OPEN JURIED EXHIBITION 

Wednesday, October 28 - Monday, November 30, 2020 

Hosted online by Arts Center East, Vernon, CT 

 

ELIGIBILITY 

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. 

• Up to three images may be submitted. 

Original work in painting, mixed media, drawing, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, sculpture are eligible.

Artwork does not have to be framed.

No size limitations. 

Artwork does not have to be for sale. 

This is an online show only, no shipping needed. 

Photo mechanical reproductions of original work (Giclee prints) are not eligible.

All entries must be original artwork. By entering the CWA exhibit, you agree that this work is not that of other artists or for which you do not hold the copyright.

CWA reserves the right to refuse any artwork for suspected copyright infringement. Any accepted work that violates copyright will be withdrawn from the exhibition immediately. Should such an entry be awarded a prize, the prize money must be returned at once.

Work submitted must not have been shown in any previous CWA shows and must have been completed within the last three years.

• CWA reserves the right to remove from consideration any artwork that does not meet these criteria. 

ENTRY FEES* 

 Each artist may submit up to 3 works. 

 CWA Members: (2020 dues must be paid in full): First entry is $15, second/third entry $10 each 

CWA Non-Members: First entry: $25, second/third entry: $10 each

 JUROR OF SELECTION AND AWARDS 

 Carol Padberg is an interdisciplinary artist, and the founding director of the Nomad MFA. Her art has been the subject of exhibitions at the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, and the New Britain Museum of American Art. Projects have been featured at the Walker Art Center, MoMA, and the Creative Time Summit at the Venice Biennale.

ONLINE REGISTRATION DEADLINE 

 Thursday, October 8, 2020 before midnight. Enter up to three images online at www.onlinejuriedshows.com. For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @ 72 dpi on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format, RGB color.

SALES 

CWA takes NO commission. Arts Center East’s commission is 20% for ACE members and 30% for ACE non-members. Artwork does not have to be for sale. 

AWARDS 

$1500 will be awarded in cash prizes. 

EXHIBITION DETAILS 

Connecticut Women Artists organization was founded 90 years ago in 1929 when 13 women artists exhibited at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. Since exhibition opportunities were rare for women at that time, these women began a society of female artists. One of this country’s oldest continuing art organizations for women, CWA now has over 160 elected members. 

CALENDAR – Time-line of events 

1. Deadline for entry: work must be submitted to the online service by Thursday, October 8 before Midnight. 

2. Juror selections available online: (www.onlinejuriedshows.com) latest, Thursday, October 15, 2020. 

3. Exhibit online through Arts Center East, Vernon, CT 06066 as well as through Online Juried Shows: Wednesday, October 28 - Monday, November 30, 2020
