2021 ONLINE OPEN JURIED SHOW

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

 

Entry Deadline:  Friday, January 15, 2021

Show Opens:  Monday, February 1, 2021

Notification of Awards: February 1, 2021

Show Closes for sales:  March 31, 2021

Note :  The show will be posted on the Online Juried Shows website in February.

AWARDS:

 

Thousand Oaks Art Association (TOAA) will present $2,400 in cash prizes:

Best of Show:  $300

First Place:  $200 per category

Second Place:  $100 per category

Third Place:  $50 per category

Honorable Mentions

Note:  Awards are limited to one per artist.

 

 JUDGE: Jeff Horn

Landscape artist Jeff Horn is a Professor Emeritus of Drawing and Painting at Irvine Valley College. His most recent publication, “In Our Eyes, In Our Words”, won the 2019 Independent Publishers Gold Medal in the Fine Arts category.

ENTRY FEES:

 

•    First piece (TOAA Members)   $30

•    First piece (Non-members)      $40

•    Each additional piece               $10

•    Each Artist may enter up to 6 pieces for consideration by the Judge.

•    A maximum of 3 pieces per artist can be juried into the show.

•    Approximately 120 pieces will be juried in and exhibited in the published show.

•    Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.

•    Entry fee payment is via PayPal/credit card to Online Juried Shows upon submission.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

•    Open to all Artists 18 years of age and older residing in Southern California.

•    Work must be original, completed after 1/1/18, and never previously exhibited in a judged TOAA show.

•    Artist’s original work only.  No copies or likenesses of another’s work including photographs, published works, or references not attributable to the artist are eligible.  Work painted under the guidance of a teacher is not permitted.  No posters.

 

SHOW ENTRY AND DIGITAL IMAGES:

 

•    Enter online at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com (scroll down under “current shows” to Thousand Oaks Art Association).

•    Submitted images must not include matting or framing.  Crop the images to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.

•    Images should be smaller than 4MB, 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi, and saved as a JPEG. 

•    Help in photographing your work, properly sizing the images, contact info, and other useful information can be found at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx or from the menu bar of the Online Juried Shows website.

•    Add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

 

SALES:

 

•    TOAA will connect any potential buyer with the artist through March 31, 2021.

•    The artist is responsible to submit a commission of 20% of the sale price to TOAA. 

•    TOAA accepts NO liability in the transaction of the sale.
