Each year View holds the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, which is open to all artists working in water based media. This includes transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache and ink. All submissions must be made through OnlineJuriedShows.com

Judges
Juror of Selection: Daniel Tennant
Daniel K. Tennant studied for four years under nationally known watercolorist, Merrill A. Bailey, AWS (1909-1981). Daniel earned a BFA in painting from Syracuse University where he was a scholarship student. He has been painting solely in gouache (opaque watercolors) since 1979. He showed in New York City for twenty years where he had two, two man shows. He now shows at Settlers West Galleries in Tucson, Arizona. His work is in two permanent museum collections as well as private and corporate collections. He authored the book, Realistic Painting (Walter Foster Publishing), and has been published on book covers, books, magazines, calendars and limited edition prints. Over the past twenty nine years he has won thirteen various awards at the ANEAW and five of those awards were the Peoples' Choice award. Dan is married and has four grown children. He lives in Central New York State where he paints almost daily.
Juror of Awards: Douglas Wiltraut
Douglas Wiltraut, one of America's foremost painters in egg tempera and dry brush watercolor graduated from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA with a BFA in Painting in 1973. Currently the President of the National Society of Painters in Casein & Acrylic, Inc., he has been the recipient of the Butler Institute of American Art Award, the Today’s Art Medal, the Knickerbocker Artists Gold and Silver Medals of Honor and four time recipient of the Ralph Fabri Medal. In 1999 he was awarded the Adirondacks Wilderness Award with the Rouse Gold Medallion followed by the Trails & Streams Medal in 2000, both in the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors. He was the subject of a feature article on egg tempera painting in both American Artist and The Artist’s Magazine and his acrylic paintings were discussed in an article in Palette Talk. He conducted the Brandywine Workshop in egg tempera painting for American Artist magazine and his work was included in the American Artist Golden Anniversary Exhibition and the Berman Museum of Art Inaugural Exhibition. In 1998 he received the Arts Ovation Award from the City of Allentown.

Eligibilty
- All works must be comprised of 90% water media.
- Collage and prints are not eligible.
- All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 2 years.
- Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.
Fees
A non-refundable entry fee of $40/ $30 for members of View enables the artist to submit up to 2 works. Each artist may submit a total of 5 works at a cost of an additional $10 per image. Payment should be made at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.
Legal
- All works must be of original design and copyright of the artist.
- View reserves the right to utilize all images submitted to the Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors in promotion of the exhibition and for the general promotion of View.
- View may rescind the right of hanging any work unsuitably presented or misrepresented.
Selected Works
- Selection notification will be sent by April 17, 2018
- Selected paintings must be received at View no later than May 25th, 2018
- View will retain a 35% commission on all works sold.
- Selected artwork must be suitably framed and ready for installation
- All shipping is at the expense of the artist. There will be a $10 handling fee for each package shipped to View. The handling fee covers condition reporting and photographing of the work as it arrives, and follow up conditioning and repacking at the conclusion of the exhibition. You must include a prepaid shipping label for the return of the work. Accepted artists will receive detailed information regarding shipping and handling requirements.
