NPS members will be responsible for delivering and picking up their artwork on the dates and times above. You may ship work to James Geddes prior to the delivery dates, the address will be provided with notice of acceptance. There are artists who have offered transportation of artwork from Bellingham, Skagit, Tacoma, Olympia and Seattle areas.

Eligibility: Current Members of the Northwest Pastel Society.
Oregon Society of Aritists (OSA): Shall submit up to 20 paintings in the medium of Pastel. Members of OSA who are currently members of NPS shall be eligible for awards & prizes as listed by NPS.
 
General: This is an open (limited-juried) show with contributions from NPS members. NPS members may submit as many as (3) works to be juried with a guarantee of at least one painting earning a place in the show.  The gallery reserves the right to reject artwork that crosses acceptable boundaries. This would include misogynistic imagery, depiction of extreme violence or graphic sexuality, and objectionable political or religious imagery.

Entering Your Images:
- Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
- Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  https://onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx
- Please add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

Size/matting/framing: Paintings must be framed and ready to hang with an outside long dimension not exceeding 48”. Artwork that exceeds 30” in any dimension must utilize Plexiglas rather than standard glass. Minimum outside frame size is 12x16 or 192 square inches.  Frames must use D rings (mounted 4” from the top of the frame or 1/4 the distance from the top of the frame on small work less than 9x12) and wire (wire to be tight) in order to be compatible with the hanging system. Framing to be of recognized gallery standards. Please use mats that are acid free and neutral in color. Gallery frames in dark wood or metal are preferred. Frames should be new or in excellent condition.

Sales: OSA shall collect a 20% commission on all work sold by NPS (represented) artist. They will collect funds from buyers and provide to the artist at pickup. Any artwork that is sold must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show.  An authorized NPS volunteer may pick up commissions at the end of the show.  

Release and fees: You must download and complete OSA’s Art Show Release Form. The form shall be attached to all paintings delivered to OSA by NPS representatives. NPS members living in the greater Portland area are encouraged but not required to gallery sit during the show. Download the required OSA Release Form to submit with your artwork

Title Cards: OSA will prepare title cards for the wall based on OJS information. You are advised to also label the back of your artwork, at a minimum with your name and the title of the work.

Reception Aug. 6 (set up 12:30) 1pm – 4pm
NPS volunteers shall provide for and host the reception and provide the following: timeline, juror’s remarks, awards ceremony, refreshments, appetizers for the appropriate amount based on estimated attendance by their membership. OSA will have 2-3 volunteers on hand to assist.

Volunteers: NPS shall have their internal volunteers take in and receive artwork between dates:  and deliver of said artwork to OSA on August 4-5. For official “take-in.” NPS shall be responsible for announcing/advertising to their membership the prospectus for this show. NPS shall be responsible for public relations, news releases, and announcements other than the postcard produced by OSA.  NPS shall use their usual resources for marketing the show. OSA shall use their usual resources for marketing the show. OSA requests local NPS members to consider providing volunteers to assist with the show.  The show will be hung by Greg J Lewis www.greglewisstudios.net.  Volunteers needed – 2 at both take ins, approx. 2 for hanging (beginning at 10:00 am on Aug. 5), OSA shall provide 2 of their own members to help NPS volunteers with reception set-up through clean-up (12:30 pm -3:30 pm on Aug. 6th ) .
