ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to all pastel artists worldwide over the age of 16. Please read carefully to make sure your work meets the following entry requirements:
– Works must be done on UART paper only.
– Works must be in dry pastel with final surface of a minimum of 80% dry pastel. NO OIL PASTELS. Mixed media must be predominantly (80%) dry pastel.
– Work must be original, not copied from other artists or published materials.
– All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of a base photo or print.
– All work must have been created within the last 12 months.
– Paintings of nudes will be considered for acceptance.
– Works done under supervision (such as in a workshop or class) are not eligible.
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $25 per participant with one image/painting, $10 for each additional image/painting (up to 4 images/paintings allowed per participant). Entry fee is nonrefundable and must be paid at time of entry. Entry deadline is at 11:59pm on May 28, 2017.
JUROR
Richard McKinley will be jurying the full show. All paintings will be submitted anonymously (as randomized numbers) to juror.
DIGITAL REQUIREMENTS
Please follow the instructions carefully regarding the preparation of your images:
• Only jpeg image files will be accepted
• Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
• Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. NOTIFICATIONS
All accepted pieces will be notified on June 16th, 2017. All winners will be notified on June 27th, 2017.
