TO ENTER:

1.    Official entry is being facilitated through an online jury process.  Send digital images of your work to OnlineJuriedShows.com. The entry processing fee is $15 for one image or $25 for up to three images. Entry payment is facilitated online during the entry process with a valid credit card or PayPal.  Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.  Acceptance is not guaranteed.

2.    Deadline to enter: July 30, 2017 at 11:59 pm.

3.    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.

4.    Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  https://onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx

5.    Please add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

6.    A maximum of three pieces may be submitted. Artwork cannot exceed 50” wide x 40” long INCLUDING THE FRAME. Three-dimensional works are acceptable as are works in any medium or style as long as they are considered wall hangings and do not extend more than 6” in depth and are light enough to hang on our moveable gallery walls. All artwork on display must be For Sale, in good taste and suitable for all audiences, as the gallery is located within a public facility.

7.    Each image submitted must be clearly identified by the following: title of artwork, dimensions, medium, and price. All works will remain in the exhibition until close of show on September 29, 2017.  All unsold work MUST be picked up between the hours of Noon and 2 pm on September 29, 2017.

8.    Artists will be notified via Constant Contact and by self-checking the www.OnlineJuriedShows website (see your payment receipt) posted with published judges results on August 4, 2017.

9.    Purchase Process:  All artwork will be brokered by the artist or their representative with your given contact information, as the Civic Gallery is strictly a volunteer gallery and has no employees. A red dot will appear on the Exhibition Art Tag which will indicate that the art is sold and is available to the new owner as of September 29, 2017. A donation of 25% of the selling price of your artwork is suggested (to the Civic Gallery), as this enables us to provide future exhibitions and events for local artists.

10.    IMPORTANT: Submitting artists must presently reside or work in San Diego County or have had a prior residence in Carlsbad/Vista/Oceanside. Artists can be considered professional, hobbyists, or students.  Must be 18 or older to apply.

SELECTION PROCESS:

1.    Submissions will be reviewed by Dinah Poellnitz. The artwork in this show will be reviewed by the Juror the week of July 31 – August 3, 2017 and artists will be notified of acceptance on Friday, August 4, 2017 via onlinejuriedshows.com.

2.    Delivery of accepted Art:  ONLY accepted artwork can be hand delivered to the Civic Gallery on Monday, August 7, 2017 between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Professional, high quality durable framing is expected. If the Exhibition Manager deems the art unsuitable for hanging, the art will be disqualified from the exhibition. All artwork must look exactly the same as when it was photographed and entered. Artwork can be disqualified if changed or embellished after the official online submittal.

4.    Exhibited work must be for sale. A donation of 25% of the sales price to the Civic Gallery is suggested.

5.    Accepted work will be installed in the Civic Gallery on August 7, 2017 or shortly thereafter. A public Exhibition Opening Reception will be held on August 12, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The reception will celebrate the exhibiting artists. Awards will be announced during the reception.
