Opening Reception:

CT Plein Air Painters Society members whose 2017 dues are paid in full.
Dues may be paid with submission.

Submissions:
Enter your best plein air paintings created within the past three years.
Member artists are invited to submit up to three (3) digital images of paintings for jury into the show. All paintings submitted must be painted en plein air. Works done entirely in the studio will not be juried into this exhibit. All work must be framed, wired and ready to hang.  No saw tooth hangers. No wet paintings will be accepted.  Work previously shown in CPAPS exhibits will not be accepted.  Paintings (including frame) cannot be larger than 26” x 32”.  All art must be for sale. No POR (Price on Request) nor NFS (Not for Sale) will be allowed.

Dues must be paid for the 2017 calendar year to enter this exhibit.  Images of works selected for the show may be used in publicity and press releases. The artist will receive written credit whenever an image of his or her work is used.  The artist retains the copyright to the work.

Entering Your Images:
•    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
•    Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  https://onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx
•    Please add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

Fees:
Entry fee of $20 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry up to a total of 3 entries.

Notification of Acceptance:
Will be sent via email after November 17, 2017.

Delivery of Accepted Art:
All artwork selected for the show must be hand-delivered to SoCCA, 93 Main Street, Southington, CT on Thursday, November 30th or Saturday, December 2nd, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. There is no shipping agent for this show.  Artists should make their own arrangements to insure accepted work is delivered on time. No substitutions will be allowed. Be sure to include a copy of your completed and signed Art Inventory Form and Art Identification Tags properly affixed to the back of the painting.  Art Identification Tags must be attached to the bottom left hand corner of the back of the painting so that the label hangs in view from the front.  The Art Inventory Form and Art Identification Tags are attached to this Prospectus.  All work is subject to elimination from the exhibit if the framing presentation is not of gallery standard.

Sales:
All sales will be completed through SoCCA; including collecting and remittance of Connecticut Sales Tax on all sales.  The artist will be paid 90% of the sale price.  Checks will be sent to the address that you supply on the Art Inventory Form. SoCCA will retain 10% of the sale price. Please note that purchased art will not be removed before the end of the show.
 
Participation in this exhibition and submittal of artwork is at the artist’s sole risk.  The Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society and SoCCA assume no responsibility for loss or damage during the exhibition or subsequent storage at the close of the show.  Artists agree to commit accepted works for the duration of the exhibition. CPAPS/SoCCA reserve the right to remove or not accept any art for any reason at any time.  The entry of your artwork constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions expressed in this prospectus.

On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from Constant Contact, that will state the same.

1.  Go to OnlineJuriedShows.com and log in using your email address and password.

2.  Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile."  You are now in Your account!

3.  Click the show name and you will see your first image.  The jury results will be under the thumbnail view.

4.  As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined in to the show."  Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter."  The letter will then be displayed below.

5.  If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image.

NOTE:  Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety.  Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
