The Randy Higbee Gallery is proud to host the Southern California Plein Air Painters annual spring show. Opening Reception Saturday, April 7, 5:30 to 8:00 PM, Awards 6:30 PM Show runs through April 21. Gallery hours 11-5 Wednesday through Sunday.

- Drop Off at the Higbee Gallery: April 2, 10am to 6pm; April 3, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; April 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pick up unsold work at the Higbee Gallery:
April 23- 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; April 24- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 25- 9a.m. to 5 p.m.
All pieces must be suitably framed. Frames deemed not suitable for an exhibition of this caliber will not be hung at the sole discretion of the Randy Higbee Gallery.
Awards:
- First Place : $300
- Second Place: $200
- Third Place: $100
- Three Honorable Mentions at $50 each.
Eligible Art READ CAREFULLY
Original work painted at least 70% EN PLEIN AIR, with completion of only 30% in studio. Landscape, Still Life, Figure (no nudes) accepted if painted en plein air (no artificial light or originating from photos).
Paintings to reflect theme: “Spring Palette”
Maximum size canvas/paper 18 x 24” or square inch equivalent and no work priced under $250

Artists may submit up to two (2) entries for $35 and two (2) additional entries at $10 each. Maximum entry is four (4) per artist.
If juror accepted, your delivered work must be framed, wired and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers. Paintings will be delivered with artist name, title, medium, size and price on the back of the artwork – upper right corner (using the forms below). Contact Barbara Davidson if shipping paintings. Although the utmost care will be taken handling artwork, neither SOCALPAPA or Randy Higbee Gallery nor its representatives will be responsible for damage or loss from any cause. Insurance, if desired, is the responsibility of the artist.
SALES
All work submitted must be available for sale. All sales will be handled by the Randy Higbee Gallery with 40% commission to the Gallery; 60% to the artist. Checks will be issued soon after the close of show.
Upon entering it is the understanding of the artist that if requested you agree to up to a 15% discount to create a sale. Upon entering it is also the understanding of the artist that you agree that a 15% discount will be offered to any other artist or Higbee employee to create a sale.
Advertising:
There will be newspaper print ads for the exhibit and Ecards for artists distribution. Budget of $1500 for advertising.Onlinejuriedshows.com will include the exhibit selectees on their DailyBrushwork.com to help create sales. Artists are encouraged to invite Patron guests to the Opening Reception where beverage and food will be served. Artists can also direct patrons to the Higbee Gallery 11am-5pm Wed - Sun. 4/8 thru 4/21.
