Juror and Awards Judge: Catherine Gill
Catherine Gill paints on location in pastel, watercolor, oil, and is also a printmaker. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and throughout the world. Catherine is co-founder of Art Partners International, dedicated to bringing together artists and art of different cultures. Submission of entries
This is an exhibition for current NPS members only.
• Entry fee is $30 for up to 2 images. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
• All members’ entries for this exhibition are digital. Enter online at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx. Please add Services@onlinejuriedshows.com and Manager@onlinejuriedshows.com to your safe senders list to ensure that notifications are received. Artists may submit up to 2 paintings for this exhibition, of which one may be accepted into the show.
• List sizes to the nearest inch. Images should in JPEG format, smaller than 4MB, at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Tips and help in photographing, preparing and sizing your work can be found at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.
Size/Matting/Framing
Size: Maximum outside frame length of 40 inches. Minimum frame size of 12 x 16
All work must be framed and ready to hang with strong flat D rings and tight wire. To accommodate the secure locking hanging system, D rings must have an opening of at least ½ inch and must be placed within the top quarter of the back of the painting. Work should arrive in good condition, with no pastel dust on the mat or glass.
Sales There is no commission taken by the facility for this show. Artists get 100%.
NPS member artists will be notified of prospective buyers interested in their work. Sales will be handled individually by member artists. Sold work will continue to hang until the end of the show on January 9, 2019.
Eligible work
Artist must be 18 years of age or older. All work must be original in concept and executed by the artist in the pastel medium within the last two years. Work exhibited in previous NPS exhibits is not eligible. No instructor assisted (hands-on) work is eligible. Mixed media pieces must be 85% predominately pure pigment (soft) pastel.
Delivery of work
Works may be hand delivered to Evergreen or shipped via Phoenix Art Restoration. Delivery to Evergreen Health Medical Center, 12040 NE 128th St, Kirkland, WA 98034, West Entrance on Tuesday, October 9 from 9am to 12pm
Work shipped through Phoenix, the shipping agent, must be received by October 1 to October 5. Participants will be sent all necessary information via email, including a copy of the shipping agent’s instructions, fees (including returned shipping fees), and specifications. Liability
• All reasonable care will be taken with paintings and submissions. NPS, its officers, volunteers, and the Evergreen Health Medical Center shall not be held responsible for the loss and damage to paintings, frames, or digital entries.
• NPS suggests that participants carry separate insurance.
• The artist grants permission to reproduce work for publicity purposes, both in print and digital galleries. Copyright will be attributed to the artist. Entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus and Entry Form, and is your commitment to participate.
• Your entry form is a legal and binding contract to deliver artwork that has been juried into the show. If, after being juried in, an entrant chooses not to deliver artwork, he or she may not enter an NPS show for a period of two years.
Deadline for entry: Monday, August 27, 2018
Notification of accepted work: Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
Opening reception: Saturday, October 20, from 1pm to 3pm, with awards announcement at 2pm.
Delivery date: Tuesday, October 9 from 9am to 12noon to Evergreen. Shipped paintings must be received by Phoenix between October 1 and October 4. Delivery and pick up teams may be organized by NPS members.
Show Ends: Wednesday, January 9, 2019
