Theme
‘Color’ is an open call for art that focuses on all colors, hues and everything in between! Your artistic interpretation and definition of how color can be used, and what ‘color’ is to you can also be expressed. The artwork can be both abstract and representational.

For this show, after you have entered your work, please go in to your Artist Profile and update your Head Shot, Artist Statement and Bio/CV. This can be done at any time before the deadline.
Eligibility
Accepting art submissions from established and emerging artists from around the world.
Accepted Media
Accepting 2D Painting, Drawing, Watercolor, Photography, Collage, Pastel, Oil, Acrylic, Mixed Media, Mural, Digital, Installation, and Ceramic, Glass, Wood, Metal and more in 3D Sculpture. Make sure your image is professionaly photographed and properly cropped. Use RGB, not CMYK.

E.E. Jacks
APÉRO was founded by Southern California artist E.E. Jacks. E.E. Jacks is a fine artist. Jacks paints landscapes, urban scenes, nocturnes, interiors, figures, and still life.
APÉRO formerly had an established physical gallery space exhibiting local artists. The gallery space was curated by E.E. Jacks along with various co-curators and jurors.
APÉRO currently publishes APERO fine art catalogue online and in print. E.E. Jacks curates and juries APERO catalogue along with Jeremy E. Grayson who is an accomplished artist and senior graphic designer.
Total Fees
A submission fee of $15.00 is the only required fee and includes up to three entry images/pieces. Artists keep 100% commission on any sales. All submission fees are nonrefundable.
Awards!
- 1st place - $75 cash prize, Catalogue Cover and Curator Review
- 2nd place - $50 cash prize and Curator Review
- 3rd place - $25 cash prize and Curator Review
- Honorable Mention - Curator Review
Curator reviews will only be awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and Honorable Mention art works.
The cash prize will be sent via PayPal to recipients within 30 Days after the Catalogue is published.

Online Catalogue & Printed Book
The online catalogue is 100% free for the public to view and download starting October 1, 2018. The printed hardcover and softcover book will become available on Blurb and Amazon during the month of October.
Catalogue Live Dates
The 'Color' - October, 2018 Catalogue will be displayed directly on our website through the month of October, 2018.

All published APERO Catalogues are available to download in our archive. 100% free to the public.

Agreement/Legal
A submission shall constitute agreement with all conditions outlined in this Open Call. APERO reserves the right to photograph and record all Open Call art for use in promotional material. APERO selects the artwork to be featured in the exhibition or catalogue from the submitted images. APERO has the sole responsibility for the selection of the artworks with no exceptions. Submissions without payment are incomplete and will not be considered in the Open Call. All art submissions must be original works, and created by the submitting artist. Any artist found submitting non-original art work, will not be accepted in future catalogues.
