EXHIBIT THEME
The theme of this show is “Falling Into Place”. Artists may interpret this theme as they so choose.
ELIGIBILITY
- Work must be your original artwork, not done under an instructor’s supervision, and not exhibited in any previous WPW show. No work shown at SFVACC within the last 12 months will be accepted. Work completed in last three years only. Pedestal pieces accepted.
- Once artwork is submitted the artist may not withdraw it. No substitutions of accepted works will be allowed. No artwork may be removed from the gallery prior to closing of exhibit, including sold artwork.
- Artists whose work is accepted are requested to assist with the exhibit (take-in, reception)or sit the gallery for one 3-hour shift(Gallery Sitters are only needed 11-2 and 2-5 Fridays and Saturdays).Sign-up at take-in.(Artists who ship work are exempt).
- You may submit NFS (not for sale) artwork.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Metal or neutral wood frames only. Neutral colored mats only, of professional quality and in good condition. Colored liners are acceptable.
- Wiring must be in good condition and substantial enough for the weight of the artwork. Wiring must be wrapped with tape at ends. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS accepted. All artwork should be ready to hang on the wall for the exhibition.
- All drawings, watercolors, pastels, etc. must be covered with plexiglass. No glass accepted.
- Canvas edges should be painted if no frame.
- Delivered work must match the image juried. No substitutions of accepted works will be allowed.
- Prices quoted on the entry form may not be changed after acceptance.
- Attach a label to the back upper right corner of each piece and have a signed release form to give to the volunteer at take in. See page 4 of this Prospectus for labels. One label is required for each painting accepted.
SIZE RESTRICTIONS
Size Limits:Limited to hanging on an 8’ wall and must fit through a 6’6” high x 36” wide door.
Use FRAMED Size for Online Juried Shows
Weight not to exceed 20 lb.
ACCEPTED WORK
- Email notifications of acceptance will be sent by Friday, September 20, 2019.
- WPW and the venue reserve the right to reproduce accepted artwork for publicity and documentation purposes.
- The artist retains all copyrights in the artwork.
GALLERY SALES
• All sales are final.
• Gallery will receive 30% commission on any and all sales
during and as a result of this exhibit.
• Artist will receive 70% of sales price.
• Sales tax is added by the Gallery.
• Any artwork without a sale price on the entry form will
be considered NFS (“not for sale”)
• Prices cannot be changed from those stated on the
submission.
• Artist should expect payment within 3 weeks after the
close of the exhibition.

LIABILITY
Artwork will be handled with reasonable care. Women Painters West or SFVACC shall not be responsible for loss, theft or damage of artworks while in the gallery’s possession or in transit. By entering this show, artists agree to all conditions in this prospectus.
ENTRY PROCEDURE
Artwork for consideration by juror must be entered in the OnlineJuriedShows.com website by 11:59 pm Sunday, September 15, 2019.
FEES
$45 for two entries and each additional entry $5 up to 6 total. All fees must be paid by the entry deadline and are non-refundable and payable through the http://www.onlinejuriedshows.com website. Credit Card or PayPal are accepted.
DISCLAIMER
Entries not meeting the criteria listed above will be disqualified and the entry fee will not be refunded.
DIGITAL IMAGES OF EACH PIECE
- Digital format: JPEG
- Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right side up.
- Before uploading your images, make sure they are
smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the
longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG
format, sRGB color space. Help in photographing
your work and properly sizing your images can be
