Start of Artwork Pick up: March 2, after 12:00 pm.

 

Fee: $35 – covers up to 3 entries

 

EXHIBIT:

This exhibits theme is “WINTER WONDER”.  Let your creativity go wild with - paintings, drawings, and sculpting. 2D and 3D artwork may be entered. Each artist may enter up to 3 works of art. Any medium that follows the theme will be accepted. The Fee is $35 for up to 3 entries. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline. Your submission form on the WAM website is your contract and needs to be filled out completely.  If you have an accepted piece that you choose not to show, you will not be eligible for submitting to WAM juried shows for 3 years. No substitutions may be made once work is juried into the show. Work submitted should be considered for general viewing audiences of all ages.

 

AWARDS:

Cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place totaling $1000, and various sponsor awards will be awarded by the juror, along with a director’s award presented by the Executive Director.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

This exhibit is open to all artists 18 or older. All work is to be must be completed within the past 2 years. Work is to be original; no copies, giclee’s or reproductions are accepted. Hand-pulled prints are accepted. Work must weigh less than 100 pounds and be no longer than 60" in any direction. Minimum image size is 5"x7" Shipped work must include return pre-paid shipping by the artist. Works that are for sale and not for sale are accepted.

 

TRAVELINING COLLECTION:

Approximately 25 pieces will be selected by a committee for a representative smaller exhibition that will travel to galleries/art centers in eastern Montana for the remainder of 2019. If you wish your work to be considered for the traveling show, please indicate that on your entry form in the description box. There is size limitation on this collection.

 

SALES:

If artwork is sold, the Art Center will retain a 35% commission. All items sold that are included in the traveling collection must remain as part of the exhibition until its conclusion.

 

LIABILITY:

WAM employees take the utmost care when handling artwork, however, neither the WAM nor their agents will be held liable for work that is shipped damaged or is lost. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist.  While at the WAM, the art is insured.

 

FRAMING & PRESENTATION:

All 2D work must be framed and ready to hang by gallery standards.  All 3D work must be ready to hang if applicable. No saw tooth hangers accepted. Frames must be in good condition and undamaged.  Matting is optional. 3D work that hangs must have the appropriate device for installation.

ENTERING YOUR IMAGES:

All entries are submitted here at OnlineJuriedShows.com.  Digital images of work submitted are to be included in the entry process.

Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch with frame included. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.

Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.

The artist will be responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements to and from the WAM. Shipped entries must be sent in reusable containers. The WAM will pack each piece in its original packing when available.

 

Artists are responsible for arranging return shipping to the address of origin through their local USPS/FedEx/UPS or other shipping office. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist. The WAM is not responsible for works lost, stolen, or damaged once picked up by the shipper.

 

Check with your local shipper for prepaid return labels; call tag systems, and printable shipping labels. Artists are encouraged to include the return label with shipment or provide the WAM with a prepaid label before the close of exhibition.

 

If you select that you would like your piece to be considered for the Traveling Collection, you are encouraged to use UPS/FedEx to pre-purchase a non-expiring shipping label. USPS labels are time sensitive.
