Exhibition Details

Sonoran Plein Air Painters (SPAP) presents another exciting opportunity to exhibit in our Fall Juried Members show with prize money totaling $900 at the St Philip’s in the Hills Murphey Art Gallery from December 9th-January 11th.

Location

The Murphey Art Gallery at St Philip’s in the Hills

4440 N Campbell Tucson, AZ 85718

Show Coordinators:

Chris Rightmer:  crightmer1@gmail.com

Eligibility

You must be a member with dues up-to-date.

To Join or Renew go to: www.sonoranpleinairpainters.com/membership-join-or-renew/

Format

The theme will be “Mini-Max”.

Mini: enter up to 2 paintings, no larger than 8”x10”.  Only 1 will be juried in.

Max: enter up to 2 paintings with sizes 9”x12” up to 16”x20”.  Only 1 will be juried in.

We like this format because mini pieces will more likely sell at a lower price point.  Also, it’s the giving season, so hopefully people will purchase these paintings for gifts.  Additionally, we will point out that the St Philip’s in the Hills will use the 20% to contribute to their outreach programs.

Entry Fees

$35 will allow you to enter 2 pieces per category (total of 4), and again only 1 piece will be juried in per category.

Requirements

All entries must be 2 Dimensional, framed plein air paintings in oils, acrylic, water media, or pastel.

All plein air works must have been completed within the last 2 years and available for sale.  Pieces displayed in previous shows will not be accepted.

SPAP reserves the right to reject any artwork not deemed ready to hang.
