Abstract Shapes in the Landscape

Eligibility: Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association (MBPAPA) members who hold "signature member" status and who have paid their 2019 dues. For further information please see our website - www.mbpapa.org.

Theme: The exhibit theme will be “Abstract Shapes in the Landscape”.

All work need to be 16x20 gallery wrapped 1.5 inch depth, with the sides painted black. For watercolor and pastel artists, the work should fit inside a 16x20 simple black frame to match the other entries.

Paintings requirements:
• Paintings are to be completed primarily en plein air or plein air inspired.
• They may not have been exhibited prior in a MBPAPA show
• All paintings will be delivered to the show ready to hang including hanging wire.
• The painting dimensions must be 16x20

Please note: the back of the painting should contain a firmly attached label that states your name, title, medium and price.

There will be a folder with the artists’ information and pictures of the pieces on display. Please provide a small paragraph for each piece that explains what attracted you to those shapes.

It is very important that you bring an insert for this display folder with the images, price and your contact information during drop of.

Image Submission: This is a juried exhibit. Each signature member artist may submit a maximum of 3 digital images to "onlinejuriedshows.com" for the jury selection process. For further information and to pay the $35 jury fee go to
"onlinejuriedshows.com", scroll down to the “Abstract Shapes in the Landscape" listing and click "enter this show".

By entering you are promising to deliver the painting if it is juried in and you will not offer it for sale in the meantime.

Notification of Acceptance –Friday April 26th, 2019

Deliver accepted work to the Sunset Center on April 30th between 11-2pm

Exhibit – May 1-May30th, 2019

Opening reception -- All MBPAPA members, guests and the public are invited to an opening reception be held Thursday May 9th, 2019 5-7 pm

Pick up of Paintings – May 30th, 2019 11-2 pm
