Third Annual Juried Exhibition of Small Works
Friday, March 6, to Saturday April 4, 2015.
Opening reception is Saturday, March 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Entry Deadline: Sunday, February 1, 2015
Theme and Eligibility:
Small Works. Maximum Image size: 12 inches on longest side.
Maximum Frame Size: 16 inches on longest side.
Sculpture: 12” on longest side.
This is an open call opportunity; media may include sculpture, photography, painting, printmaking, pastel, digital art, clay, etc. Work must be ready to hang or display, works not ready to hang will not be included in show.
- Artists are encouraged to attend the reception.
- Original artwork only. All submissions must be for sale.
Awards:
Best of Show: $1,000, Second: $500, Third: $250, additional prizes will be awarded.
Jurying:
The juror is Rebecca Pelchar, Humanities Chair, Director of the Visual Arts Gallery, and Assistant Professor of Art at SUNY Adirondack, Queensbury, NY.
Submission Guidelines:
All entries will be through www.onlinejuriedshows.com
For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels on longest side, at 72 dpi resolution

A maximum of 3 pieces may be submitted for jurying.
Nonrefundable Jurying Fee:
Jurying fee is to be $30 for two submissions, $40 for three submissions, payable after uploading your images online @ onlinejuriedshows.com using a credit card or PayPal.
Entry Deadline: February 1, 2015
Notification: Artists will be notified of jury results by email during the week of February 8, 2015. Prizewinners will be announced at the reception on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Drop-off and Pick-up:
Accepted work can be dropped off at the Shirt Factory Gallery Wednesday February 25, through Saturday, February 28.between 12 noon and 5 p.m.
Shipped works are due February 25, 2015 or sooner.
Unsold artwork must be picked up Wednesday, April 8 through Saturday, April 11, between 12 noon and 5 p.m.
Shipped work will be returned after April 8, 2015.
Shipped entries must include return shipping paid for by the artist. All shipping is the responsibility of the artist.
All work must be ready to hang with wire attached to back of frame.
Publicity: The Shirt Factory will publicize the show and reception regionally via email marketing, paid print advertising, press releases, website and social media promotion.
Commission: The Shirt Factory Gallery collects a 30% commission for artwork sales. Artists' checks will be mailed in April.
Liability:
Each work is insured to a reasonable amount while turned over to the care of the Shirt Factory Gallery. Items will be handled with the utmost care; however, Shirt Factory Gallery will not be held liable for damage as a result of workmanship or design. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the Gallery and for insuring work while in transit. Artists are also responsible for providing work that is sturdy and durable for necessary hanging purposes.
Photography:
Artist agrees to allow Shirt Factory Gallery to photograph works for promotional purposes.
About the Exhibition:
Small Works 2015 is our third edition of this rapidly growing show and will be held at the Shirt Factory Gallery, established in February 2012 to primarily serve as a welcome center and showcase for works created by our resident artists; the Shirt Factory Gallery now offers three juried shows a year, bringing in artwork and introducing artists from across the country.
The gallery is located in a historic manufacturing building, brought to new life, which now houses more than 60 artist studios, shops, galleries and services. Its clean, modern design features an open floor format with a small annex.
