EVENT DESCRIPTION
THE PRINTMAKER’S HAND III is a juried show of fine prints sponsored by CORVIDAE PRESS and will be held at Northwind Arts Center located at 701 Water St., Port Townsend, WA.
CORVIDAE PRESS was founded in 2006 in Port Townsend, WA as a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the pursuit of the printmaker’s craft, with a focus on education, community and regional interaction. The group maintains a non-toxic printmaking studio in partnership with CENTRUM, an organization that develops workshops, residencies and programs for artists, writers and musicians from around the world. THE PRINTMAKER’S HAND III gives printmakers the opportunity to show their work in the vibrant arts community of Port Townsend. The show will be in September of 2015 at a time when many visitors will be in the area for The Wooden Boat Festival (11-13th) and The Port Townsend Film Festival (25-27th).
ELIGIBILITY
Only hand-pulled prints will be accepted. Works may combine traditional printmaking techniques with digital or other media. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, executed within the last 3 years without the supervision of an instructor. Entries must not be copies, derivatives or based on other copyrighted or published prints. No giclee prints will be accepted.
Prints must not exceed 36” wide including frame, must be sturdily framed, wired and ready to hand.
Artist must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, MT, AK or CA.
FEES
A nonrefundable entry fee of $45 is required for a maximum of three entries.

SAM DAVIDSON is the owner and director of Davidson Galleries in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1973, Davidson Galleries is one of the premier galleries in the country featuring antique and contemporary prints. Sam Davidson is the publisher of 85 books and catalogs and has produced over 800 gallery exhibitions, some of which have toured internationally. He is a member of the Fine Print Dealer’s Association and the Seattle Art Dealer’s Association.

ENTERING YOUR IMAGES: Help in photographing your work and properly sizing images can be found at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @ 72 dpi on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.
CONDITIONS: Artist may not substitute another work for an accepted work, alter the sales price, nor withdraw the work after it has been accepted.
CORVIDAE PRESS reserves the right to refuse any work that does not match the digital image or meet the media, size or framing criteria.
SALES: Should your work(s) sell, Northwind Arts Center will pay you 60% of the retail price. All work must be priced and sold with the frame included. Northwind will pay Washington State sales tax.
CORVIDAE PRESS reserves the right to photograph entries for purposes of documentation, education, publicity, and to encourage interaction with the arts.
Shipped work must be framed in Plexiglas and shipped with a prepaid return label if you would like it returned by mail. The work will be returned in the shipping materials in which it was received. Hand delivered work may be framed in glass.
LIABILITY: Although the utmost care will be taken during the receiving, installation, exhibition, and return of work, neither CORVIDAE PRESS nor Northwind Arts Center will assume responsibility for loss or damage incurred. Artist should carry their own insurance. Work should not be so fragile that shipment or public display is potentially harmful to the work or viewer.
Submission of work to The Printmaker’s Hand III constitutes agreement to the liability policy stated above.
