Theme: Springtime Gray and Bright: This show will feature artworks that celebrate the many experiences of Spring. Media categories are painting, drawing, and printmaking.
Eligibility:
- Limited to regional artists, 18 years and older, living in the SF Bay Area.
- Submissions must be original work of the artist.
- Entries must be hand-delivered and picked up.
- All exhibited work must be for sale and not previously displayed in this gallery.
Prizes: Three Merit Awards $150, $100, $50

Size and Weight limits: Each piece must be manageable by one curator. Maximum size for 2-D work
is 24”x 36”. Larger sizes may be accepted with prior approval of the Curator. All 2-D artwork must be
gallery-ready, with hanging wire on back. Gallery wrapped canvas must be a minimum of 1" in depth.
Use plexiglass, not glass, in framed pieces larger than 24 x 30". Pedestals are 13x13" or 18x18".
Accepted work must be delivered gallery-ready. Prepare 2-dimensional work with D-rings and
picture wire. Label each piece (artist, title, medium, image size, and price).
Please bring an 8.5 x 11 page with your artist’s statement and/or bio to be included in the show’s
Book of Artists, that will be on display during the show. You may also bring up to 10 business cards.
Location: The Coastal Arts League Gallery, in Zaballa Square, 300 Main St. Half Moon Bay, CA, is
a ground floor gallery with north-facing windows. The gallery is open daily from noon to 5:00 pm.
Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lodging/Transportation: Half Moon Bay is 25 miles south of San Francisco at the intersection of
Highway 1 and SR 92. The Gallery is on Main St. next to the historic Zaballa House Inn. Coastal Arts
League guests should ask for the corporate rate when making reservations.
Terms and Conditions:
By entering, you are verifying the submitted work is yours, and that you have the rights
to the images or artwork.
You are granting the Coastal Arts League (CAL) the right to use entered work for the website,
printed lists of selected images, and for future show promotions. All rights to submitted images
remain the property of the artist.
All exhibited work must be for sale. Artists receive 70% of the sales price for sold work. CAL collects
sales tax, and retains a 30% commission to support exhibitions, operations, and educational
programs of the nonprofit Coastal Arts League.
The Coastal Arts League accepts no liability for loss or damage to pieces in the show.
Security cameras are installed in the galleries for protection from theft.
CAL promotes all shows through our website, www.coastside-artists.com, announcements to
CAL members, clubs, art centers and associations throughout the region. Artists can share about
the show and reception with family, friends, and colleagues.
