•  Artwork in-take: Monday, September 14, Noon to 4:30 pm
•  Exhibition on view: Sept. 17 – October19

•  Reception: Saturday, September 19, 1 – 4 pm

Eligibility

All entries must be for sale and not previously displayed in this gallery.
Open to photos on any surface, metal, or paper
Submissions must be original work of the artist.
Entries must be hand-delivered and picked up.

Size and Weight limits
Each piece must be manageable by one curator.  Metal prints are acceptable. Maximum size for 2-D work is 24”x 36”. Larger sizes may be accepted with prior approval

 

Framed artwork must be gallery-ready, with backing paper and hanging wire. Use plexi-glass for framed pieces larger than 18x24". Gallery wrapped canvas must be a minimum of 1" in depth. Label each piece (artist, title, medium, image size, framed size, and price).

 

Deliver your work to the gallery on Monday September 14. Pick up your work on Monday, October 19. Please bring an 8.5 x 11 sheet with your artist statement and contact information to be included in the show’s book of artists (on display during the show). You may also bring up to 10 business cards to display in the gallery

 

Location/Hours: Coastal Arts League Gallery, Zaballa Square, 300 Main St. Half Moon Bay, CA, is a ground floor gallery with north-facing windows. The gallery is open daily from noon to 5:00 pm. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

Lodging/Transportation: Half Moon Bay is 25 miles south of San Francisco at the intersection of 

Highway 1 and SR 92. The Gallery is on Main St. next to the historic Zaballa House Inn. Coastal Arts Gallery guests should ask for the corporate rate when making reservations. 

 

Terms and Conditions:

CAL has the exclusive right to sell work accepted for display in the gallery and online. Artists may not enter the same piece for sale in another contest or online gallery during the same period.

 

By entering you are verifying the submitted work is yours and an accurate likeness of your online entry.

You are granting the Coastal Arts League (CAL) the right to use entered work for the website and show promotion. All rights to submitted images remain the property of the artist. 

All exhibited work must be for sale. Artists receive 70% of the sales price for sold work. CAL collects sales tax, and retains a 30% commission to support exhibitions, operations, and educational programs.

The Coastal Arts League accepts no liability for loss or damage to pieces in the show. Security cameras provide protection from theft.

CAL promotes shows through the website, www.coastside-artists.com, bulletin announcements, clubs, art centers and associations throughout the region.
