Opening Awards Reception

 

A reception for artists, their guests and friends of the arts will be held at the South Chula Vista Library on April 18th from 2 to 4 pm. 

 

Awards will be announced and presented during the reception.

 

Eligibility

 

This juried exhibition is open to all CVAG artists 18 years of age or older.

 

Works must be original; no student or workshop projects. No digital art, prints, or photography.

 

This is a community exhibition that includes families and children. Therefore, nudity, sexual acts, intentional gore or violence will not be accepted.

 

Online Entry Procedure

 

For the first time ever, CVAG members will enter via the internet! To enter and upload a photo of your artwork go to OnlineJuriedShows.com

 

A maximum of three paintings per artist is allowed

 

Fees

 

1st entry-$25

2nd entry-$10

3rd entry-$10

 

Fees will be paid online at time of entry via credit card or PayPal.

 

Accepted Entries

 

Entries must be hand delivered on April 9th from 10:00 to 12:00 pm to the South Chula Vista Library. 389 Orange Ave Chula Vista.

 

Accepted entries will be displayed at the Library through May 9th and must not be removed until the last day of the show between 10 am and 12 pm. 

 

A fee of $10 per day will be charged for paintings not picked up on time.

 

Art Sales

 

Sale of artwork is encouraged and will be conducted directly between the Artist and the Buyer. 

 

A commission of 20% will be paid to the Treasurer of CVAG for each painting sold, half of which will be donated to the Library.

 

Any relevant sales tax will be the responsibility of the Artist.

 

Liability

 

Neither the Chula Vista Art Guild (CVAG) nor the Bonita Museum is responsible for damage, theft, or loss to artwork.

 

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual artist.
