2020 SCHEDULE

  • Sept. 27 - Digital entries deadline.  Entries must be entered at Http://onlinejuriedshows.com by midnight of the date
  • Oct. 10 - Acceptance notifications sent out
  • Nov. 7 – Show is up on www.arkansaspastelsociety.com
  • Nov. 13 – awards announced
  • Dec. 3 Show closes

SALES

  • Customers and clients will need to contact the artist to arrange for purchase.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to all paid members of Arkansas Pastel Society.  Dues must have been paid by April 1, 2020.
  • Entries must be original and must have been executed within the last three years.
  • Entries must be at least 80% soft or oil pastel.
  • APS reserves the right to refuse any work submitted

ENTRY

  • Artist may submit up to two (2) entries.
  • Entry fee is $30 for up to two (2) entries.

NOTE:   Instructions are clear and simple.  Accepted paintings will be shown and available for purchase online during the entire show.

 

SELMA BLACKBURN, JUROR

Selma F. Blackburn is a painter and experienced art teacher; teaching in elementary, kindergarten and pre-school classrooms.  She has a BA in Education and a second BA in Art from Hendrix College.  She has earned Signature Membership in Mid-Southern Watercolorists, the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society.  Blackburn has judged exhibitions regionally, and she has served on the Board of Mid-Southern Watercolorists in several capacities, including President.  Her paintings are included in the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation collection, in the permanent collection of the Historic Arkansas Museum, and in many private collections around the country.
