All current members of the California Art Club.

SUBJECT MATTER
|
Please submit small-scale works that best represent your style and interpret the encompassing theme of “California.” Choose subject matter that, to you, is recognizablyCalifornia. Subject matter may range from landscapes to still lifes to figurative works.
Sunday, November 29, is being promoted as the first Artists Sunday, a free nationwide promotion and event encouraging consumers to shop with artists and craftsmen. It’s like Black Friday, but for art. Participation is free and the California Art Club is a partner in the effort. More information can be found here:https://artistssunday.com/. We encourage our artists to learn more about this initiative!
NOTE: Paintings must be 12” x 16” or smaller (canvas size) and sculptures may be 12” in any direction or smaller.

MEDIUM & DIMENSIONS
|
Paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic.
Sculptures in permanent materials such as bronze, marble, terra cotta, fiberglass, or wood.

COMMISSION
|
60% Artist; 40% CAC
|

HOW TO APPLY
|
Submit all artwork through Online Juried Shows forWelcome to California.There is a limit of 2 entries.
|
ENTRY FEE
|
Please pay by credit card through Online Juried Shows. For $35, you may submit up to 2 images.
|
NOTIFICATIONS
|
Notifications will be sent to artists via email on or about Monday, October 26, 2020.
|
ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
|
This exhibition is entirely virtual, so there is no need to deliver your work to any location.
|
PREPARING PAINTINGS
|
Please label the back of paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions, and price. Please note that if your painting sells, there is an expectation that the collector is purchasing a framed work.
|
SHIPPING and SALES
|
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. The artist will be responsible for preparing and packaging the work for shipment. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.
