The Randy Higbee Gallery is hosting the 4x8 Taos Mini Exhibition and Sale. This will be an exciting online exhibition and sale that will be displayed on our new OnlineGalleryShows.com website. This website will display shows that have been curated through the OnlineJuriedShows.com website.
Entry fees will be $8.00 per image. This fee will include the cost of entering the OnlineGalleryShows.com website. All entries must be for sale.
Artists are invited to submit up to 10 entries measuring 4”x8” in size that have been framed in our Taos Mini frame. Your entry image must include the frame. You may only post as many entries as you have purchased 4x8 Taos Mini frames (https://kingofframepreorder.com/collections/taos-mini-frame-sale) These frames are for sale on the kingofframepreorder.com website, and can be either straight in or floater.
All artists are guaranteed at least 1 accepted entry, and a maximum of 6 entries will be accepted from any artist to be displayed on the OnlineGalleryShows.com website for sale. This will be an online only show.
Commission
OnlineGalleryShows.com will take a 15% commission. The Randy Higbee Gallery is waiving any commission. The artist will receive an 85% commission. The gallery will have the option to give an additional 15% discount to its base of art resellers, artists purchasing from artists and clients who make multiple purchases. This 15% discount is taken off the retail price and is shared by artist/gallery. The discount has been a crucial marketing tool in getting our sales into the 150+ numbers.
Pricing
Important! All pricing must include shipping to anywhere in the Continental United States. All pieces for sale on the OnlineGalleryShows.com website include free shipping for the buyer so please make sure you realistically calculate a shipping price and include it in the price of your artwork.
All pieces must be for sale (Exhibition and Sale!) and priced reasonably. Do not price your pieces to low. Do not price your pieces too high. We will not have anything exhibited under $250.
Format and Media
This is a 4x8 show and all pieces must be entered pictured in the 4x8 Taos mini frame. All 2D media (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, etc.) will be accepted. Anything that fits into the 4x8 Taos Mini frames-straight in or floater-for sale on kingofframepreorder.com (https://kingofframepreorder.com/collections/taos-mini-frame-sale). Eligibility open to all artists who are able to ship their art to the Continental United States.
Entry and Fee Application
There is a $8 fee for each entry. You may enter up to 10 pieces.
Prizes and Awards
There will be 10 $100 certificates for the kingofframe.com/kingofframepreorder.com websites and a $500 cash award to the artist awarded Best in Show. Award certificates must be used within 90 days of close of show. Once again, your artwork will be posted for sale on the OnlineGalleryShows.com website where you will receive an 85% commission on all sales.
Forms
You will need to have a signed contract returned to OnlineGalleryShows.com before your piece is displayed on the website. Because all artists are guaranteed at least 1 accepted entry, contracts will be emailed out as artists enter and complete their payments on OnlineJuriedShows.com. Contracts must be returned by Tuesday, November 3rd at midnight. Notifications of accepted pieces will be sent Wednesday, November 4th. Failure to return your contract will result in all of your entries being declined.
Shipping of sold pieces
This is an online show posted on the OnlineGalleryShows.com website. You should have your piece framed and ready to ship within 7 days of you being notified of the sale. Your commission check (85%) will be sent to you within 10 of receiving notification from the client that they have received their artwork.
Important Dates:
Entry Deadline: Tuesday, November 3rd at 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time
Contract due date: Tuesday, November 3rd at midnight PST
Notification of Acceptance: You will be notified of acceptance on Wednesday, November 4th.
Opening Date: The show will open on Saturday, November 7th
Closing date: The show will close and be removed from the OnlineGalleryShows.com website on Sunday, November 29th, 2020 at 11:59 pm.
