ELIGIBILITY
Artists and photographers using all media are invited to enter original artworks not previously exhibited in a Filoli art exhibit. All work will be judged using the digital images you submit.
DIGITAL ENTRY PROCEDURE
Entries may include up to five (5) digital images in .jpeg format, @ 72 ppi with 1920 pixels on the longest side. Please do not include personal details such as watermarks in your entries to allow for “blind jurying.” Your first three (3) images are $30, and $5 for each (optional) additional entry. If you need help entering your images, you may contact help@onlinejuriedshows.com , call (949)287-8645 (Online Juried Shows Help desk) or contact one of the Curators (see below). The entry deadline is June 1, 2015.
JURY PROCEDURE
All artwork will be juried using the digital images you submit. Criteria for acceptance includes: originality, artistic presentation and technical use of the medium as represented in the high quality digital image(s) you submit. Selection results will be emailed July 1 with detailed instructions for selected images. Artwork submitted may or may not be selected for the show; the decision of the jury members is final.
SALES
Filoli is pleased to extend the opportunity for participating artists to sell their framed exhibit piece(s) during this exhibit. The selected artists may also participate in the “Meet the Artists Weekend” Sept. 19 – 20, when they may display and sell additional originals, note cards, prints and other products. All sales will be handled by Filoli and sales proceeds will be sent to the artists 6 weeks after the exhibit ends, less a 30% donation to Filoli. Artists may also list their artwork as NFS (not for sale).
RECEIVING ARTWORK
Artists with accepted artwork will receive detailed instructions for shipping and/or hand delivery of artwork. The artist is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. Artwork must be received by August 26 via carrier or August 31 from 9 – 11 am on site.
PRESENTATION OF ARTWORK
Maximum Frame Size 35” x 48”; Minimum Frame Size 8” x 10”
Three-dimensional pieces may be no larger than 19” high and 12” deep.
Hanging entries must:
- be ready to hang (with wire for hanging)
- have no saw tooth hook or projecting eye screws
- preferably have Plexiglas, but glass is acceptable if the framed image is not too heavy
- have light/neutral mat colors
- have simple black or wooden frames
- have no watermarks
Floating images are discouraged since they tend to “fall” during shipment.

Accepted entries that do not conform to the above presentation standards may be refused at the time of hanging.
