UART CONTEST
UART is proud to announce its 2015 Online Pastel Competition. We are now accepting entries. The contest will take place from May 25, 2015 until June 30, 2015. Award winners will be notified on July 21st. Please read below for prizes, requirements and eligibility.

ELIGIBILITY:
Contest is open to all artists over the age 16 in the United States and abroad. Please read carefully to make sure your work meets the following entry requirements:
- Works must be done on UART paper only
- Works must be in dry pastel with final surface of a minimum of 80% dry pastel. NO OIL PASTELS. Mixed media must be predominantly (80%) dry pastel
- Work must be original, not copied from other artists or published materials.
- All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of a base photo or print
- All work must have been created within the last 12 months
- Paintings of nudes will be considered for acceptance
- Works done under supervision (such as in a workshop or class) are not eligible
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $20 per participant, $5 for each additional painting (up to 5 paintings allowed per participant). Entry fee is nonrefundable and must be paid at time of entry. Entry deadline is at midnight on June 30, 2015. All entries must be made through www.onlinejuriedshows.com.
JUROR
Liz Haywood-Sullivan will be jurying the contest. All paintings will be submitted anonymously (as randomized numbers) to juror.
DIGITAL REQUIREMENTS
Please follow the instructions carefully regarding the preparation of your images:
- Only jpeg image files will be accepted
- Required image size is 1920 pixels on the longest side (if it is a horizontal image, 1920 pixels wide; if a vertical, 1920 pixels tall). Save your files with a resolution of 72 dpi.
NOTIFICATIONS
All winners will be notified on July 21st, 2015.
