“PARALLEL DIMENSIONS” 

A VIRTUAL ON-LINE SHOW

JUROR and SELECTION OF AWARDS ~ JOHN GRECO 

John Greco began his art training in the early 1970's, studying printmaking with Master Printers Glen Brunken, Will Petersen, and Dan Rohn. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Slippery Rock University, and received his Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Kent State University. He has taught courses in Art and Photography at the American Intercontinental University, Kent State University, Santa Monica College, Slippery Rock University, and the University of Southern California. In 1984, Greco established Josephine Press, a printmaking studio in Santa Monica, with the intention of providing a center for artists to explore their creative potential in printmaking and to publish fine art editions. In 1989, he opened Christopher John Gallery, in conjunction with Josephine Press, this was to represent and exhibit the works of innovative artists and printmakers. He has exhibited extensively in the US and abroad; his work is included in both public and private collections. John Greco continues to publish Artist’s editions and run Josephine Press in Santa Monica; he extends his love for printmaking to artists while investing in others within his community

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: January 26, 2021
AWARD NOTIFICATION: January 28, 2021
VIRTUAL ZOOM RECEPTION: Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm PST

ENTRIES MUST QUALIFY AS FOLLOWS: 

COLLAGE: flat or very low relief
MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE: moderate relief and/or different techniques and materials.
ASSEMBLAGE: highly dimensional, multiple three-dimensional elements, and/or freestanding.
DIGITAL COLLAGE: Combination of multiple images. Digital manipulation of single image does not qualify. 

RULES OF ENTRY: 

Please read carefully! 

ELIGIBILITY 

Two- or three-dimensional collage, mixed- media collage, assemblage and digital collage accepted. As an OPEN exhibit, CAA members and non-members may enter a maximum of four works. Work shown at any prior juried CAA exhibit is not allowed.

Printed out copies of final image, (other than purely digital collage), giclée prints and similar duplicates, and works done under direct supervision of an instructor, are ineligible.

Source material must be original OR not PRIMARILY derived from any published images.

Once artwork is accepted the artist may not withdraw it. No substitutions of accepted works will be
allowed. No artwork may be removed from the exhibit prior to closing of exhibit, including sold artwork.

ENTRY FEES
Members: $25 for one, $5 each for up to 3 additional entries - Total 4 entries max. Non-Members: $35 for one, $5 for each additional, total 4 entries max.
You can join CAA to get members entry fee amount.

Payment is made through Online Juried Shows via credit card or Pay Pal. Fees are non-refundable. There is no guarantee of acceptance into the show.

FORMAT FOR DIGITAL IMAGES (JPGS) AND HOW TO SEND THEM
All entries must be submitted in a digital JPEG format. Take photo of art with a digital camera and crop out background, or if that is not possible, use a black background without a mat and not through glass. Image quality is critical! Poor photography and presentation will affect acceptance by the juror. The digital image must represent the artwork.

Please Note: You must carefully label each
entry with the name, title, size and media. DO NOT use all CAPS or all lowercase. Entries missing this information may be excluded from the Exhibit.

ACCEPTED ART
This will be a Virtual show. Do Not Send In Your Artwork. All accepted entries and winners will be displayed as an on-line exhibit on the SFVACC/SCORE website, https://sfvacc.org/parallel-dimensions
and on the OnlineJuriedShows website’s “Published Shows” section.

REPRODUCTION OF ARTWORK IMAGES 

By entering this exhibit, artist agrees that any accepted artwork may be reproduced for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes for this exhibit or future exhibits without consent of or notification to the artist or the artist’s agent.

SALES
All sales will be handled by the individual Artist. Any and all sales tax will be the responsibility of the Artist. No commission will be taken by the Collage Artists of America. All sales are final. If a sale is made, it is the responsibility of the artist to notify Sylvia H Goulden, shgoulden@sbcglobal.net so that the sale can be indicated on the website.
