Acceptance into the exhibit and awards will be selected by Michele Usibelli. 

Michele Usibelli‘s award-winning artwork has shown in both group and gallery exhibitions, in regional, national and international juried exhibitions and has won numerous awards. Her artwork can be found in public and private collections throughout the world. Michele has been accepted into the following organizations: Oil Painters of 

America/Signature Member, American Impressionist Society/Signature Member, California Art Club, Women Artists of the West/ Signature Member, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. 


Works must be unframed, original 2D art created by hand by the artist in 2020-21 in any fine art media such as drawing, painting, pastels, collage or mixed media. 

All works must be for sale with a minimum price of $100. 

No digital prints from software created works will be accepted. No photography, reproductions, digitally manipulated or painted-over giclee prints will be accepted. 

All artwork must be original and created from conception to completion by the artist. Artists are permitted to use their own photos as reference materials in the creation of their artwork, but not photos from other sources. Artwork copied from other artists work, copyrighted work, published or internet photos is ineligible. 

Artworks will be judged on the following criterion: Drawing, Values, Edges, Composition, Color, Mark Making, Visual Interest and subject matter selection. 

Maximum size of unframed work is 11 x 14 inches (30 cm x 40 cm).
Artwork must be signed and the signature must be visible in your entry. 

Digital submissions of images must be accurate representations of the entrant’s original art works. Do not include mats or frames in the photograph.

Fees to enter the show will be $35.00 for the first 3 images. Additional entries are $8/each with a maximum of 5 entries per artist. Entry fees will be paid to when entering. 


Entries will be submitted at in JPG format with the longest side at 1920 pixels.  File size should be under 4MB.  Help and additional instructions can be found at and assistance with entering is available at

An optional short statement about your work (150 words or less) may be submitted in your profile at under the bio/statement/password tab.  This statement will not be considered by the judge but will be displayed with work that is juried into the online show and sale at




The competition, show and sale are open to all artists 18 years and older who have registered at in 2020-2021 for any class or Art Chat. Registration for Art Chat is Free.  Click here to register for Art Chat.  To verify eligibility, artists must use the same email address for entry at as the email address used for their Winslow Art Center account.

Entering the competition is an agreement to all rules.  Failure to comply with the rules may result in ineligibility for the show and sale as well as possible exclusion from future opportunities to enter competitions or juried shows at Winslow Art Center. 







All accepted entries will be for sale and displayed in an online gallery on the WAC website from Feb 4, 2021 until the end of March, 2021. 

If a statement of 150 words or less has been provided in the OJS artist’s profile page by January 19, 2021 it will be published on the page with the art for sale.

There is no refund of entry fees for unaccepted entries.  Decisions of the judge are final.

All cash awards will be paid via Paypal.  If you win, you’ll need a Paypal account and will be responsible for any fees Paypal charges on receiving money. If you cannot accept Paypal, you may choose a Winlsow Art Center gift card which may be redeemed within one year to purchase classes or art.

Awards will be paid within seven days of the closing of the show or eight days after work has been received by a buyer whichever comes first

Winners Gallery Archives will be maintained indefinitely at with links to winning artists' profile pages.




 Prices may not be changed after entering the competition. 

WAC will keep a 40% commission on sold pieces. Artists will be paid for sold work via Paypal. Artists will be responsibe for any fees Paypal charges on receiving money. Artist may choose to be paid with a Winlsow Art Center gift card instead which may be redeemed within one year to purchase classes or art. 

Artists will receive payment for sold work minus commission eight days after receipt by buyer. 

Sales tax will be added to art sales as required by law. 

To reduce the overall cost and ease of shipping, works are to be sold unframed. 

Artists will be responsible for shipping sold pieces with tracking with signature delivery and insurance. All pieces will be marketed as “Free Shipping” so artists must factor the cost of shipping and insurance within the USA into the price of the piece. 

There may be additional charges to ship internationally. Collectors please inquire if work is to be shipped outside of the USA. 

Pieces for sale must remain in the artists possession until the closing of the show and be shipped within seven days of sale. 


Artists are responsible for care of packaging, shipping and insuring of the works direct to the purchaser within 7 days of a sale. 

Artists must use a shipping method with insurance, signed delivery and a tracking number. The tracking number must be provided to the Winslow Art Center in order to receive payment for sold pieces. 

All art must be signed for upon delivery. Artists and Winslow Art Center can not be responsible for art that has been delivered without a signature. 


Returns will be accepted in cases where there is damage to the piece or it was misrepresented in photos or description. Buyers have seven days after receipt of artwork to arrange a return. Returns for other reasons the buyer will be responsible for return shipping. 


Submission of entries grants WAC permission to include the image or images in advertising or promotions for the exhibition and sale, with credit given to the artist. All accepted entries will be exhibited and for sale at will also display a gallery of accepted entries.
