Sonoran Plein Air Painters (SPAP) and Artists & Makers Studio Oro Valley are sponsoring an exciting opportunity open to SPAP members.   The theme of the show is Scenes of the Southwestern U.S.

Eligibility

  • Open to SPAP members with dues up to date.

Format & Entry Fees

  • $25 allows you to enter up to 3 paintings, and up to 2 could be accepted/juried in. 
  • Entry fee is $25 for members with dues up to date. 
  • Size restrictions – 12x16" minimum size, 20x24" maximum; Paintings are to be within 480 square inches (ie 20x24), not including frame.
  • Show will be Juried/Judged.  
  • Sales will be 25% to the gallery and 75% to the artist.

Requirements 

  • All entries must be 2 Dimensional, framed paintings in oils, acrylic, water media, or pastel.
  • Works may be painted plein air or in studio and should be painted during the last 2 years.
  • Paintings should represent the theme: Scenes of the Southwestern U.S.
  • Please prepare art with wire on back to be hung on hooks.
  • SPAP reserves the right to reject any artwork not deemed ready to hang.  

 

 

 

 

Entering Your Images

 

You will use Online Juried Shows, and you’ll look up our prospectus:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com

 

Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.

 

Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, RGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  www.onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx

Please add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

By entering this show, you are providing permission for the use of your images for promotional materials.

Sales

  • Sales will be 25% to Artists & Makers Studio Oro Valley and 75% to the artist.
  • The show will also be available online with artwork for sale to a global audience on www.dailybrushwork.com

Important Dates

 

• April 7 Open date to submit artwork to OnLineJuriedShows

• June 10 Closing date to submit artwork to OnLineJuriedShows (11:59 pm)

• June 17 Show juried by SPAP Signature Artist / notification of accepted/declined pieces

• June 30 Drop Off: 10am-12 noon 

• July 1 Hang art from 10am to 3pm

• July 2 Judging at the gallery

• July 3 Show opens to the public

• Aug 30 Show ends

• Aug 31 Remove Art 10am-12am

 

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REGARDING JURY NOTIFICATIONS: 

Notifications are sent through ConstantContact from Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com. To ensure receipt of this notification, please add Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your contact list, or safe senders’ list. On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from ConstantContact, that will state the same. 

 

1. Go to OnlineJuriedShows.com and log in using your email address and password.

2. Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile." You are now in Your account! 

3. Click the show name and you will see your first image. The jury results will be under the thumbnail view. 

4. As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined into the show." Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter." The letter will then be displayed below.

5. If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image. 

6. While you are in your account on OnlineJuriedShows.com, click "Personal Info" and make sure your name, address, phone number, and email address are up-to-date. NOTE: Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety. Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
