2021 CNYWS ANNUAL MEMBERS- ONLY JURIED EXIBITION

This call for entries is open to all Associate and Signature members in good standing. Members may submit 1 or 2 painting images online for jurying by

High resolution jpeg images to be submitted to Online Juried Shows (www.onlinejuriedshows.com) according to site specifications by September 20th, 2021 (1920 pixels @ 72 dpi and smaller than 4 mb)
Please note there will be a $10 fee for each painting (up to 2) entered. Payment submitted on online site.

• If your work is accepted, CAA requests you to submit a one-page bio to CAA Executive Director, Janet Erway,
(www.gallery@cooperstownart.com) by September 27th
• Delivery of accepted work: Monday, Sept. 27th or Tuesday, September 28th, 11 am – 4 pm, either day
• Art may be shipped to either Karen Harris prior to the 27th, or directly to Cooperstown by the 27th. A return shipping label must be included either way.

JUROR OF SELECTION AND AWARDS:
David R. Smith, AWS, NWS
David has studied under numerous instructors in the U.S. and China. He has displayed his work in galleries and museums across the United States and his work has been awarded at both the state and national level. David has received Signature Membership with the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, and others. His award-winning art has also been exhibited by the Transparent Watercolor Society of America.

**Watercolor Requirements For CNYWS Exhibitions**
All work must be original.
No reproductions will be accepted.
Works done at a workshop or under the supervision of an instructor are not eligible.
Paintings done from published photos or reference work that is not the creation of the artist are not eligible.
Paintings shown at previous CNYWS exhibits are not accepted. All paintings must have been executed within the past two years. All work must be in water-soluble media on paper or Yupo
Water- soluble media include: Transparent or opaque watercolor, casein, gouache, egg tempera, and acrylic painted in an aqueous manner.
A limited use of pastel, collage or ink, not constituting more than 10% of the painting is allowed.

By submitting to this show, you agree to the following:
I hereby certify that my entered work complies with the requirements above, and that my dues are current. I understand that without a signature, the work will not be accepted.
Work to be in CNYWS exhibits must be prepared as described below:
Preparation of art for transport and display:
Art must be either on watercolor paper or Yupo, and must be matted (white or off-white mat, thin (1/4 in. max.) colored liner acceptable
All work must be properly framed and wired for hanging. Plexiglas only! NO GLASS! NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS. Works should have a wire attached at the one third point of the entire frame height. (Many people put the wire too close to the top edge. If the wire stretches, it can be seen above the top of the frame)
Your work should be presented in a professional manner /no obvious scratches, dents, rickety framing, etc.
Boxes, shipping or otherwise, must be sturdy and protective of painting(s). Boxes must have labels attached.
Paintings should be additionally protected with bubble wrap or sheets of cardboard as spacers, etc.
Please include the answers to the following questions in your description on your OnlineJuriedShows.com entry form for each entry you submit. This should be limited to 30 words or less and should be specific to each painting:
What was your inspiration?
What materials did you use?
What are you hoping to communicate to your viewers?
