Exhibition Details:


  • One painting will be selected from every PPS member!

  • Up to four entries can be submitted.

  • $25 for two entries and up to four (4) can be submitted. 

  • $10 per additional entry up to two resulting in 4 entries.

Online exhibition: This show will be published only on Online Juried Shows (published shows section of website).     

Entry Requirements

  1. Eligibility

  1.  Medium

  • Soft and/or hard pastel on any surface.

  • Underpainting is admissible, but the top layer of the artwork must be a minimum of 80% pastel.

  • Oil pastels are not accepted.

      3. Originality

  •  All work presented for this exhibit shall be original. 

  • Compositions should not be based on another artist’s work.  (For this show, you may use another photographer’s reference material if granted permission.)

  • Paintings executed in a workshop or class under another artist’s supervision are NOT eligible.

  • Entries that have been shown in previous shows in North Carolina are also not eligible.

  • Entries that have won previous awards in State, National, or International Shows are ineligible.

  • Paintings must have been completed within the last three (3) years.

       4    Subject

The PPS Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for exhibition online.

 

        5. Size    There are no size restrictions for this online show.

 

        6. Digital Image Specifications

  •  Digital images of your artwork should be high quality, look professional and accurately represent your work.

  • Image size can be a maximum of 1920 pixels on the long side with a 72dpi resolution. Maximum file size of 4 MB and .Jpg.

  • Do not include frame in your artwork image.

Registration: Things you need to gather before creating an account and filling out the entry form.

  • Artist name.

  • Artist address (to receive the award).

  • Artist email.

  • Artwork title.

  • Artwork size; framed and/or unframed.

  • Artwork price or Not For Sale (NFS). Please read below about art sales.

 Sale of Artwork

Each artist is encouraged to promote and to sell their painting via website or social media.  A donation to PPS of a 15% commission is encouraged for any sale resulting from our show.

 

Agreement and Liability

  • Submission of a work of art in this exhibit shall constitute an agreement by all parties to all conditions of this prospectus.

  • Entry in this exhibit gives PPS the right to photograph or use the submitted images for promotional purposes, including posting submitted and award-winning entries on the PPS website and Social Media.
