Juror

Cat Balco, Artist, Professor of Drawing and Painting/Past Art Department Chair, University of Hartford Art School.

Awards

Prizes in excess of $4000, also purchase funds for the NHP&CC’s Permanent Collection.

During the gallery exhibition, all accepted works will also be displayed on the NHP&CC website.

Entry Rules:

·       We will accept work in all traditional and contemporary media including photography and digital art, excluding video.

·       All artists from the Northeast USA, including New York and New Jersey are eligible.

·       Work must be original, and the artist’s own concept and design. No classwork, reproductions, or giclée prints allowed.

·       Work must have been created within the past 3 years, and not previously exhibited with the NHP&CC.

·       All wall art must be securely wired for hanging - NO clip frames, brackets or wet work are allowed.

·       Art work cannot exceed 40” in width, excluding frame.

·       Watercolors, pastels, mixed media, graphics and photography must be framed and under glass.

·       Sculptures are limited to 75 lbs. Stands must be provided.

Entry Limits & Fees

Two-dimensional artists and sculptors may enter up to 3 art works each, however, due to limited space, only one piece may be accepted. Sculptors may submit 2 jpeg views per piece.

Fees: **Active NHP&CC members who are up to date on dues: $20 for first entry, and $10 for each additional entry. Others and non-members: $30 for first entry, and $10 for each additional entry.

Online Submission Dates

Sunday, Feb 27 - Sunday, March 20                   

Enter through OnlineJuriedShows.com. For best results submit high quality 72 dpi images under 4MB, and close to 1920 pixels on the longest side. File name should include only letters and numbers, no spaces, and end with .jpg.

Notification of Accepted Work after April 3^rd

Receiving

All accepted work must be hand delivered to the Sill House Gallery on Thurs., April 28, 6-8 pm or Sat. April 30, 9 am -12 pm.

Removal

Sunday, May 29, 4-6pm or Tuesday, May 31, 6-8 pm.  Unclaimed art will be stored and incur a $50 late pick-up fee. No work may be removed before May 29^th, 4:00 pm.

Sales

We encourage all work to be available for sale. No POR. The NHPCC takes a 20% commission on works sold. Works purchased for the NHP&CC Permanent Collection receive 80% of the catalog price.

Liability

All reasonable care will be taken with your work. Submission indicates your agreement that the NHP&CC and LAoFA have no responsibility for loss or damage.

**ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP Artists are eligible for and invited to active membership in the NHP&CC after their work has been accepted in two separate juried exhibitions.
