Tijuana and San Diego share the busiest border crossing in the Western Hemisphere. Presented by the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, this exhibition seeks to explore literal borders, metaphorical borders, and borders/edges in terms of artistic technique.

Entry Guidelines:
ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: The competition is open to all artists anywhere in the world. All 2D media are acceptable, however, there is no electricity available. 2D work must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired for hanging, suitable for display and must not exceed 60” in any dimension including frame. Please, no white edges on canvas.
ENTRY FEES: The entry fee is $35.00 for one artwork and $10 for each additional artwork; SDMAAG member’s entry fee is $25 for one artwork and $5 for each additional work. Limit 5 works per artist.
EXHIBITION TERMS: Works must remain in the exhibition venue for the duration. We encourage artists to offer works for sale. Though we do not charge a commission, a donation from sale proceeds is requested: 10% donation to SDMAAG, and 15% donation to the City of Poway.
IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection and marketing purposes for the exhibition only. By entering the competition, all artists grant SDMAAG the right to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes. SDMAAG retains no copyrights to artists work.
LIABILITY: Each artist must carry their own insurance. Though care will be taken in handling all entries, SDMAAG will not be responsible for loss or damage of any kind for any entry submitted. Submitting art to this exhibit constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist to the conditions set forth in this prospectus. SDMAAG may rescind the right of hanging or displaying any art misrepresented or unsuitably presented.
SHIPPING: Shipping or Hand Delivery Instructions will be provided to accepted artists in their acceptance confirmation email. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist.
- All shipped work will be packed and shipped the week following the close of show.
- Shipped art must be shipped with pre-paid return label.
- Please attach return shipping label to the back of your art next to identification label.
