Eligibility:
This is a live exhibition gallery show for current NPS members over 18 years of age.
Members may submit up to 3 paintings with one painting guaranteed to be included.
Paintings must have been completed within the past 3 years.
All entries must be for sale and realistically priced.
Work exhibited in previous NPS or Schack Art Center exhibits is not eligible.
Solo artist only - no collaborative works.
All work must be original in concept and executed by the artist in the pastel medium.
Mixed media pieces must be 80% predominately pure pigment (soft) pastel.
Instructor-assisted workshop/classroom work is not eligible.
Work must be originally drawn, not from digital projection or created on top of a base photo/print.
All accepted work must be framed, professional in appearance and ready to hang with strong wire and flat metal hangers.
No late entries will be accepted.
Entering Your Images:
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.
Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure that your images are right-side-up.
List size to the nearest inch.
For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side.
Images should be in JPEG format, under 4 mb, and sRGB color space.

No changes to entries will be allowed after entry deadline.

Fees:
Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 images.
Entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Fees are paid online using a credit card or PayPal.
Limitations:
There are no size limitations for this exhibition. Larger works are encouraged.
Delivery of Accepted Artwork:
Please deliver accepted framed artwork directly to Schack Art Center on November 15, 2022, between 10 am and 5 pm.
Alternatively, NPS will announce regional drop-off locations to pool deliveries.
Members may choose to ship their artwork at their own expense and liability. Return shipment of unsold artworks is at the expense of the member artist. NPS members have successfully used Phoenix Art Restoration (phoenixartrestoration.com).
NPS accepts NO liability in delivering or shipping of member’s artwork.
Promotion:
Participating members are asked to personally promote this exhibition - a digital postcard will be made available.
Sales:
All included artwork is for sale for the price submitted upon entry by the artist.
A 40% commission will be collected by the Schack Art Center on all sales.
Sold artwork will remain on display until December 12, allowing release for holiday gifting.
This is a purchase-in-place sales event. Schack Art Center is unable to ship sold items.
Liability
All reasonable care will be taken with submissions. NPS, NPS officers, volunteers, Schack Arts Center, and Online Juried Shows shall not be held responsible for the loss and/or damage to paintings, shipping, or digital entries.
NPS suggests that participants carry separate insurance as provided under individual contracts with shippers and receiving agents.
The artist grants permission to reproduce work for publicity purposes, both in print and digital galleries. Copyright will be attributed to the artist.
Entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus and Entry Form, and is your commitment to participate.
Your entry form is a legal and binding contract to deliver artwork that has been entered into the show. If an entrant chooses not to deliver artwork, he or she may not enter an NPS show for a period of two years.

Artwork pickup window at Schack Art Center: January 8, 2023 12 – 5 pm, and January 9, 2023 10 – 5 pm.

This show will be juried and judged by Barbara Benedetti Newton, PSA, NPS-DP, AJS, OPA, CPSA, PSWC, WPS, IAPS Master Circle Honoree.
