Prospectus
Modern Impressionist Magazine is a bi-monthly print magazine, featuring Modern Impressionist artists and their stories. The magazine is beautifully designed, written and curated to highlight and showcase the masters of this modern movement back to impressionism. Through incredible artwork, riveting articles and step-by-step demonstrations, we hope to capture the essence of the modern impressionist movement and bring it to the pages of every issue. The first issue features award winning artists Ryan Jensen, Barbara Jaenicke and Jill Banks. The second issue features award winning artists Michele Byrne, John P. Lasater and Manon Sander. The third issue, out now, features Kyle Ma, Carl Bretzke and Debbie Mueller. Join us in celebrating this inspiring movement!
Contest Dates
The Modern Impressionist Salon contest will be held this month between November 15th, 2023 to December 15th, 2023.
Judge
The contest will be judged by award winning artist Jim McVicker
ACCEPTANCE INTO EXHIBIT AND SELECTION OF AWARDS
Acceptance of artwork and designation of awards for this exhibit will be made by judge Jim McVicker purely upon the digital images submitted during entry.
Awards
First Place: $600 cash prize, a feature in Salon Winners section of Modern Impressionist Magazine, Social Media Ribbon and promotion on Social Media
Second Place: $200 cash prize, a feature in Salon Winners section of Modern Impressionist Magazine, Social Media Ribbon and promotion on Social Media
Third Place: $100 cash prize, a feature in Salon Winners section of Modern Impressionist Magazine, Social Media Ribbon and Promotion on Social Media
3 honorable mentions will also be selected
The top 20 pieces will be determined in addition to the award winners
Eligibility
This contest is open to all 2d artists internationally.
Accepted Medium
Accepting all 2d paintings in any medium.
FORMAT FOR DIGITAL IMAGES (jpegs) AND HOW TO SEND THEM
All entries must be submitted in digital JPEG format and under 4 mb.
Please take a photo of your artwork with a digital camera and crop. Winners of this contest may be asked to submit bigger hi definition image files for publication. Image Quality is critical! If you need help with your submissions, email onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or call 888-666-1351
ENTRY FEES
$35 for your first entry, and $20 for each additional entry, up to 10 total entries
NOTIFICATION
All artists submitting work will be notified by email on/around January 7th with the results in their artist profiles of OnlineJuriedShows.com
