1st Place: $1,000 • 2nd Place: $500 • 3rd Place: $300

 

Four Honorable Mentions of $50 each will also be awarded.

 

Curator:

 

Amy Galpin, Ph.D.

Executive Director, Miami Dade College

Museum of Art and Design (MOAD)

 

Dr. Galpin specializes in modern and contemporary art of the Americas. She is responsible for curating the institution’s exhibitions, implementing the museum’s plans for its permanent collection, and leveraging her expertise to support the museum’s vision.  Before joining MOAD, she served as chief curator of the Frost Art Museum at Florida International University. Previously, she served as the curator of Rollins Museum of Art and associate curator, Art of the Americas, at the San Diego Museum of Art.

 

MOAD offers groundbreaking exhibitions and programs that aim to foster a reimagined Miami. Exploring the challenges and opportunities we face locally and globally, MOAD convenes artists, designers and thinkers to address the urgent questions of our time. Eligibility:

 

This is an online-only exhibition open to all visual artists worldwide.

All original two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are eligible. Videos, reproductions and copies of other artists' work are not eligible.

Works may be for sale, sold unframed. Prices should include shipping costs within the continental United States. Sold pieces must be shipped within 7 business days from notification of sale.

 

Entry fee:

 

Artists Guild members:

$25 for one artwork and $5 for each additional work, up to 5 images.

 

Member pricing is available to current Artist Guild members as of the time of jurying. Works submitted under member pricing by nonmembers who have not joined by the time of jurying will be removed from the jury pool with no refund given.

 

Non-members:

$35 for one artwork and $10 for each additional artwork, up to 5 images.

September 1-3, 2025: Notifications sent by email. Results will be available in your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile

Application procedures:

 

Entering Your Images:

 

Enter your images online at OnlineJuriedShows (OJS) – log in and click Enter This Show to begin your submissions.

 

List sizes up to the nearest inch. Do not include mats or frames. Crop photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side up. Images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images are to be in JPEG format, under 4 mb, and in sRGB colorspace.  

 

Keep in mind that the quality of the photography of your artwork may affect whether or not it is selected. Ensure that your piece is well-lighted and that the image is in focus and distortion-free. Distracting backgrounds should be eliminated. In general, picture frames should be cropped out, unless they are integral to the art. The San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild is not responsible for any technical difficulties with artwork submission. All submission issues will be handled exclusively by OnlineJuriedShows (OJS). All artists will receive notifications by email after jury process is complete and results are available in your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile.

 

The entry form must be completely filled out.

 

All works will be listed at the price set by the artist on entry. To reiterate, works will be sold unframed and prices should include shipping costs within the continental United States.

 

The information recorded on this entry form is considered final and may not be changed.

 

OnlineGalleryShows will send accepted artists a contract to sign and return.

 

Terms and Conditions:

 

The following statements constitute an agreement between the artist and The San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild. Any requirements (listed above) of the exhibit not fulfilled will result in disqualification. No exceptions will be made to these rules.

 

Sales:  Artworks may be for sale through the close of the exhibition. All sales will go through OnlineGalleyShows or by calling 800-506-7624.  Artists must ship a work within seven business days of it being sold. Artists will be required to provide the buyer and onlinegalleryshows@gmail.com with the tracking number.

 

Acceptance is not guaranteed. Entry fee is not refundable.

 

Works will be listed at the prices set by the artist on entry. They are to be sold unframed. Prices should include shipping costs within the continental United States. Once a work is submitted, there will be no change in title, medium, price, or artist’s name. Check your entry carefully before submitting. The Guild will take a 25% commission on all sales and OnlineGalleryShows will take 15% commission on all sales.  

 

Participating artists’ help in publicizing this exhibition is crucial. Artists will sell their works by reaching out to collectors, family, and friends via email, Facebook, Instagram, etc. OGS will email you marketing tips and recommendations. The success of this exhibition will depend upon the extra effort made by artists to attract buyers to the OnlineGalleryShows.com website to see your work.

 

Neither The San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, The San Diego Museum of Art, nor any of their employees or volunteers will be liable for loss or damage to any artwork incurred during shipping. Insurance, if desired, is the responsibility of the artist and the purchaser of the artwork.

 

The Artists Guild reserves the right to reproduce accepted artworks for the purpose of promoting the exhibition. This may include, but is not limited to, media, media outlets, posters, mailings, social media, and the Guild website.

 

This exhibition continues the Guild’s 110-year exhibition tradition. The San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild is a nonprofit organization. Any money received from this exhibition is used to offset operating costs, including those incurred for running the exhibition. The remaining money is donated to the San Diego Museum of Art, under whose auspices the Guild operates, to assist with funding museum programs.
