Open to current and active juried Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program Artists, and Signature Artists of the California Art Club.
Please note: Associate Artists and non-members of the CAC are not eligible for consideration.

SUBJECT
|
Flora Obscura explores the quiet mystery and beauty of nature through contemporary-traditional fine art. The artworks will reveal the hidden poetry of gardens, and wild places alike. From shadowed forest paths and windswept coastlines to intimate floral studies and contemplative figures in nature, Flora Obscura celebrates the enduring connection of humanity and the natural world around us.

EXAMPLES
|
· Tide pools filled with sea flora
· Coastal bluffs overgrown with wildflowers
· A home garden
· Vineyards and Orchards
· Botanical specimens in jars
· Still lifes of harvests or floral arrangements
· Popular botanical gardens: Descanso Gardens, California Botanic Garden, Japanese Gardens, Arboretums, and Nature preserves.
· All genres will be considered, but please note that the artwork must contain a floral element to fit the theme.

|
The guest judge for this exhibition is TBD, and will be announced at a later date.

MEDIUM AND DIMENSIONS
|
Oil, watercolor, pastel, gouache, or acrylic.
Due to limited capacity, we kindly request that unframed dimensions do not exceed 25 inches on its longest side. Only 35 works max will be selected.

COMMISSION
|
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC
All artwork MUST be for sale.

Upload artwork through Online Juried Shows to submit artwork Flora Obsura
There is no entry limit to this submission. The entry fee is $30 for 1, with $8 per additional entry.

NOTIFICATIONS
|
Artists will be notified via email on or around Monday, November 16, 2026. Results will be in your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF
|
Monday, January 25; 10:00 am to 12 noon
*If artists cannot drop-off accepted artwork in person during the designated date and time artwork must be shipped. Artwork that does not arrive on day of drop-off will forfeit acceptance.
**Accommodations can be made for early drop-off.

OUT-OF-TOWN SHIPPING
|
Must arrive to Box and Ship between December 1 through January 22
Artists will be responsible for the cost of crating, handling, and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition via Box & Ship in Pasadena, CA.
