Has someone really pushed your buttons lately?
Loading Dock Gallery and Pop Cultured are seeking bold, funny, thoughtful, provocative, weird, and opinionated original artwork for HOT BUTTONS, the third installation of an interactive collectible art exhibition.
We’re looking for artwork inspired by the issues, ideas, obsessions, frustrations, social commentary, and cultural chaos that push your Hot Button. Selected designs will be transformed into collectible 1" pinback buttons.
How it Works: The 1” Hot Buttons will be pinned to a card with your comments and displayed in Loading Dock Gallery during the month of August. The gallery will also host an in-person trading event on August 22, where attendees can purchase mystery packs of collectible buttons to trade, barter, beg, negotiate, and swap to build the button collection they want.
ARTIST BENEFITS:
• Your design produced as a Hot Buttons collectible button
• Artists receive 10 complimentary copies of their button
• Opportunity to sell select prints or original artwork in Pop Cultured and Loading Dock Gallery during the exhibit
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
• Original artwork only
• Artwork should not exceed 4" x 4"
• Designs should reproduce clearly at 1"
• Open to artists 18+ nationwide
• Humor, commentary, activism, absurdity, and visual punch encouraged. Whether your Hot Button is political, personal, playful, or deeply petty, we want to see it.
• Images must be jpg and under 4 mb. For best results, images should be 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. Accepted artists will be required to provide a 300 dpi image for printing upon acceptance.

Entry fees are non-refundable
Commission for artwork sold is 25%
