Exhibition Details
Each year View holds the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, which is open to all artists working in water based media on paper. This includes transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache and ink. All submissions must be made through www.OnlineJuriedShows.com

View is a premier multi-arts facility located in the Central Adirondacks of New York State. www.viewarts.org

Judges
Juror of Selection: Carolyn Lord, NWS
Carolyn Lord was introduced to the California Regional watercolorist tradition by James Green (1911-2005) while attending Principia College in Illinois. During and after college she attended workshops with other watercolorists including Millard Sheets and George Post. Early in her career, Lord traveled to paint watercolors in Europe, South American, South Pacific, and the Western United States. Lord’s current motifs are California vernacular architecture, gardens, and landscapes. Lord is currently represented by galleries in California, Utah, and Colorado, and is a Signature member of both the California Art Club and the National Watercolor Society. Lord demonstrated watercolor painting at the 2014 Plein Air Convention, and was a featured artist in the February 2015 issue of Watercolor Artist Magazine. The Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors has been a perennial part of Lord’s career, receiving awards in 1987 and ’89, and served as Juror of Selection in 1993. Juror of Awards: Chris Krupinski, AWS-DF, NWS
Chris Krupinski’s art career has achieved a tremendous following on the national and international level as a brilliant watercolorist. Well credentialed, her paintings continually draw rave reviews for her fine art work, winning more than 100 national awards and honors. Chris is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, Rocky Mountain Watercolor Society, TWSA, and Allied Artists to name a few. She has been published in major watercolor publications and has been a featured artist in numerous leading national art magazines. Chris will be a featured artist in the January 2015 issue of The Artist's Magazine. Chris Krupinski will be teaching a workshop at View May 20 and 21st, for more information go to www.viewarts.org.

Eligibility
-    All works must be comprised of 90% water media.
-    Collage and prints are not eligible.
-    All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 2 years.
-    Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.

Fees
A non-refundable entry fee of $40.00 non members/$30 for members of View enables the artist to submit up to 2 works. Each artist may submit a total of 5 works at a cost of an additional $10 per image.   Payment should be made at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.  All entry fees must be made by the entry deadline.

Legal
-    All works must be of original design and copyright of the artist.
-    View reserves the right to utilize all images submitted to the Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors in promotion of the exhibition and for the general promotion of View.
-    View may rescind the right of hanging any work unsuitably presented or misrepresented.

Selected Works
-    Selection notification will be sent by April 18, 2016.
-    Selected paintings must be received at View no later than May 16, 2016.
-    View will retain a 35% Commission on all works sold.
-    Selected artwork must be suitably framed and ready for installation.
-    All shipping is at the expense of the artist. There will be a $10 handling fee for each package shipped to View. The handling fee covers condition reporting and photographing of the work as it arrives, and follow up conditioning and repacking at the conclusion of the exhibition.  You must include a prepaid shipping label for the return of the work. Accepted artists will receive detailed information regarding shipping and handling requirements.

Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: August 5, 2016, 5-7

For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.
