Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists
Cannabis: A Visual Perspective 2017
Cannabis: A Visual Perspective
This is a Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists juried exhibit promoting education and understanding of the Cannabis plant. The subject for the exhibition will be the entire Cannabis genus, including all three species and seven subspecies. We encourage artists to seek out unique strains and to depict whatever aspect of them they find most engaging and inspiring, while adhering to high standards of botanical accuracy and skilled use of media. Botanical illustration will allow people who see the exhibition to appreciate the diversity of the Cannabis genus.
Botanical artists are invited to enter original artwork not previously exhibited in a RMSBA art exhibit in any two-dimensional medium that reflects the tradition of botanical art and adheres to high standards of botanical accuracy. Prints will not be accepted. All work will be juried using digital images.
There is a $35 entry fee for RMSBA members for 1 image, non-members $45 for 1 image, $5 for each additional image up to 3 images. Entries must be paid by the entry deadline. Entry fees are non-refundable. The entry deadline is June 16, 2017.
